Loads of 1970’s stainless steel Seiko’s survive, but not so many do in this condition. Model reference 7005-7062.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in November 1973.
CONDITION
If this is not one of the nicest examples of this model – or indeed any 1970’s Seiko Automatic – that you have seen then you must have been very lucky in life! Only a new old stock watch could be better. There is a small mark on the bezel near 8.30, and the bracelet has been shortened, but for a 50+ year old watch it is very good. The quality control oval sticker is still on the case back, but behind that you will find the Seiko 7005A automatic only movement which is ticking away nicely. It has quick set date, but can not be hand wound. The bracelet has NOT been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath – it arrived in this condition!
