An all stainless steel 1973 Omega Seamaster automatic, on the original bracelet. Model reference 366.034
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1973.
The calibre 1012 automatic movement in this Omega was a bit of a breakthrough. Normally automatic winding mechanisms were bolted to the back of a manual wind watch, but this was one of the first to incorporate the automatic winding mechanism into the main movement, which allows a lower profile and therefore a slimmer watch. This 23 jewel movement runs at 28,800 bph and also has quick set date and hacking, all of which is working as you would expect.
The case and bracelet are both made from stainless steel. The case does have some odd marks on the non crown side, possible from being worn next to a heavy bracelet. The bracelet is full length and has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The end links are numbered 671, and the clasp is number 1238. The matte silver dial has a few marks, and there are some scratches on the glass, but this is a wearable vintage 1973 Omega watch without it being a safe queen.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
