This Swiss ladies Bulova has a manual wind movement and the bark finish bracelet.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1973.
CONDITION
This triple gold (golden dial, case and bracelet) ladies Bulova shimmers on the wrist and adds glamour to any woman, but at a size that is still discrete by modern watch standards. The bark finish bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath and is showing very little wear to the plating – unusually it is plated on the inside too, which is normally reserved for heavier plate finishes or rolled gold, but we can not see any stamp to indicate what thickness it is plated too. The hand winding movement is an in house Bulova 5BD calibre, and all is working well there. The dial has the word SINGE on the back – this could be the very well respected dial maker Jean Singer, who used to make the dials for Rolex among others. The dial is very clean, and this watch would not appear to have been worn too often.
