This simple, clean Garrard watch was someone’s reward for long service from Imperial Chemicals Incorporated (ICI).

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the inscription on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being engraved for 1973 to Mr J. Graham.

CONDITION

Garrard have been a high end jeweller in London since 1735.  The Gold Cup at Ascot was made by them, as was the America Cup for Sailing.  They make medals such as the KBE, DSO and those medals won at the Invictus Games.  They also made Lady Diana Spencer’s engagement ring.  So they don’t put their name on things lightly.  This watch is simple and elegant in design, with a decent ETA manual wind movement inside.  The case is 20 micron gold plated instead of the standard 10 microns, and shows little to no wear.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.  All is working well.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
