This Tissot Seven has strong links to the Omega Dynamic model from then sister company Omega, but works in its own right too. Model reference 44654/01.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.
CONDITION
Nearly 100 years, in 1930, Tissot and Omega joined forces and created a new company. The idea was to share some production and design facilities, joint buying power etc – not different to mergers today. Most of the time the public wouldn’t know any difference, but one example that is a bit more obvious is the bracelet on this Tissot Seven. It is attached to the watch by a ring, and is completely interchangeable with the Omega Dynamic watches. You would understand why Tissot would borrow the design – the Geneve Dynamic was Omega’s best selling watch, so Tissot wanted in on that action. Sadly now it is rare to find a Tissot still on the bracelet, as many have been bought to split and put on the more valuable Omega. Happily, this not only has the bracelet, but it is also quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. Inside the round case is Tissot’s 2481 automatic movement, with push to set quick set date via the signed crown, The watch is in good condition, with just minor marks. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, and clasp.
