This clean Tissot Seastar proves that less can be more.  Model reference 1/42520-9

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.

To do simple design is actually quite difficult, as you still want to make something attractive and not be dull.  Tissot designers take a bow!  This Seastar did the simple things well, which is why this example still looks good today.  The case was specified to be stainless steel, not chrome, so you don’t have any plate wear.  The case was also waterproofed, which has kept the dial and movement looking great (waterproof watches also keep out other nasties such as dirt or even smoke).  The lugs are drilled, making strap changes easier and can be done without scratching the lugs.  We have fitted a new leather strap.  The seventeen jewel movement is the Tissot 781-1, a solid manual winding calibre that is running well.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
