HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to 1972 from the serial number on the watch movement.

CONDITION

On a lot of gold plated (20 microns) watches with strong edges like this one the gold plate wears off on those edges.  Not on this one though.  It comes in its original box and looks like it spent most of its life in the same box.  It is on a non original strap with gold plated buckle and retainer.
