This 1972 Seiko automatic, model number 7005-2000, is a good sized, good looking vintage watch.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in January 1972.

CONDITION

One of the reasons Seiko vintage watches are so collected it because the case is made of solid stainless steel.  This means no plate wear (because the case isn’t plated!), but also Seiko also made their watches just a little larger than average, which suits modern tastes.  This watch has the 7005A movement, which is auto wind  only with quick set date, and this is running sweetly.  The acrylic glass has been polished to remove small scratches, and we have added a thick suede aftermarket strap that is a high quality item and really makes the watch stand out.  The dial is very clean, as are the hands and hour markers, and the only negative is the tritium lume in the hands no longer glows – perfectly normal for a watch of this age with original hands.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
