Benefiting from a recent service, this 1972 Omega Geneve is a very easy to life with classic sports watch. Model reference 136.0102
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.
CONDITION
Stainless steel Omega vintage watches on the original bracelets are not that difficult to find, as they were produced in reasonable numbers and built to last. The benefit of this is that prices are accessible to many people, whereas many watches that were cheaper in 1972 like Tudor’s or some Seiko chronographs are now worth more than this Omega. This Geneve has the calibre 1030 hand wound movement fitted, which was serviced in May 2021 so is running nicely. This movement is not a nicely finished as the earlier 5** or 6** series, but does have quick set date and hacking. The dial is good and has not been restored, but the hour hand has a different lume to the minute hand, suggesting the minute hand has been replaced or relumed at some point. The bracelet is made by Omega, with end links numbered 568 and the clasp 1193. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
