An unusual and rarely seen automatic De Ville, with a two tone TV dial.  Model reference 151.0051

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.

CONDITION

TV dial watches are always popular, as the watches take up a larger space on the wrist without being uncomfortable.  The irony is that a young person wouldn’t know now why it was called a TV dial, as TV’s are perfect rectangles!  The two tone dial is nice, with the outer part just having a bit of patina.  The stick hands are straight.  Inside the 20 micron gold plated case is a caliber 711 by Omega.  This 24 jewel automatic movement, adjusted to two positions, was the thinnest automatic movement ever made by Omega.  Some were classified as Chronometers, and this example is still running to within those parameters on the timegrapher.  On the downside the original crown has lost its plating, and there is also a scratch on the crown side of the case.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
