HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.
CONDITION
The De Ville Dynamic models built on the earlier Geneve models, using the same case and strap design, but with quite colourful solid colour dials (as opposed to the bullseye dials fitted to many Geneve models). The case was also a little rounder, and smoother, but otherwise the De Ville Dynamic is mechanically the same as the Geneve. This watch has the automatic movement with date, which was the top of the line choice for the ladies models. Fitted is calibre 684, a 17 jewel automatic movement unique to Omega that also has semi quick set to advance the date. The electric blue dial is very nice, but does have a scratch near the date window. The one piece case is good, and the crystal without scratches or chips. The straps for the De Ville Dynamic are the same as the earlier watches, and OEM versions are available affordably online – we have fitted a new black strap and will include the old, blue strap too.
