When most ladies watches are manual wound and round, this is an unusual to find automatic ladies Omega in a tank style case. Model reference 551.052.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.
CONDITION
This is a very original watch, with the untouched dial, signed crown, and even the signed crystal with the Ω symbol in the centre. The watch can be wound manually, butt he slim crown means it is easier to give the watch a shake to wind it up via the automatic movement, Omega’s calibre 661. Despite the small size, this movement packs 24 jewels and was adjusted to two positions – almost unheard of for a ladies watch of this size. The case is 20 micron gold plated, and has some wear on the edges but overall presents well. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and crystal.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
