This slim, solid gold Hefik watch is very discreet and has a quality Peseux movement inside that square case.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the hall mark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1972.

CONDITION

This Hefik is a small watch, but the real party trick is how thin it is.  Ultra thin watches from the likes of Audemars Piguet or Vacheron Constantin are generally just under 5mm, so for a small brand like Hefik to produce a watch just 1mm thicker, but with a subseconds dial, is quite some going.  This is thanks to the quality Peseux 7000 manual wind movement, which is still in production today (called ETA 7001) and the thinness of this calibre also makes it a great base point for modified watches such as the Eberhard 8 Jours.  The gold case is correctly hallmarked for 9k / 0.375, and is all quite straight – no doubt helped by the owner keeping the watch in the box for all these years.  The dial has a few age related marks, but nothing serious.  The acrylic glass has inclusions in the glass and a few marks too.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
