10k gold filled case and bracelet

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to 1972 from the cover of the 1972 Hamilton catalogue (pictured).  The model didn’t appear in the 1973 or later catalogues.

CONDITION

This watch has an interesting history.  In 1971 the company that owned Omega and Tissot bought Hamilton, and the movement in this watch is a rebranded Tissot 2401.  This was a very short term arrangement hence the model had a short shelf life.

The watch is in great condition, with the dial clear and clean.  The bracelet has slight wear marks but has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and the watch has its original signed crown.

SIZE

19.3mm wide including the signed crown, 8.3mm thick.  The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of 175mm
