HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From what we understand these watches were available from 1970 to 1975, so we date this watch to being made circa 1972.
CONDITION
The watch is wonderful. The grey dial is close to perfect, the hands and applied hour markers crisp and legible. The raised Eterna five ball bearing logo shimmers nicely. The solid stainless case fits around the wrist nicely, so this is comfortable to wear and wears smaller that the dimensions suggest (hence the Anatomic moniker). The day wheel is in English, the recessed crown is original and the Eterna 1453K movement is running smoothly. The watch still has the case back sticker in place, as well as the original band and buckle. It is very hard to find 40+ year old watches in this condition. The crystal does have a small chip near three, which possibly is why it was never sold?
