This 1972 Certina Club 2000 manual wind men’s watch is in great condition and comes complete with the original box.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.
CONDITION
The 20 micron gold plated case is in very good order, with just a minor scratch near eight to note. The bracelet looks to be practically unworn, and is rolled gold so much thicker than plate. The box is in fine condition and shuts crisply. The matte gold tone dial has contrasting white hands, making reading this watch very legible. Hopefully the video captures the colour change of the dial better than the photos. The case feels chunkier than the measurements suggest, as squared cases often do, and this might suit a brown leather strap more than the bracelet? That can be your call. The signed crown powers the Certina 25-66 movement, which is running superbly. The case back has light tool marks, which sadly we contributed to – sorry about that!
It is quite hard to find good Certina watches in the UK, but they are far more popular on mainland Europe.
This watch will be supplied with the original Certina presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
