A funky men’s 1972 Bulova Accutron hummer watch with a fabulous brown dial.  Very 1970’s!  Model reference 7041-1

From the serial number on the case back and the matching one on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1972.

This watch has plus’s and minus’s.  The 2182F movement is all working well, but the 20 micron gold plated case has some wear on the high points – this looks worse in the photos than in real life, but it is a shame and is the reason this watch is cheaper.  The really big positive is the dial, which is some lights looks uniform and in others a pale stripe can be seen in the centre.  The gold and white hands are very easy to read against this background, and we have fitted a new brown leather strap to compliment the dial.  The case on this 1972 Bulova is a similar geometric design to 1930’s pilots watches issued to the Czech Air Force, and as a piece of design works very well.  The crown has lost the Bulova logo on the end, but works perfectly.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
