HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in June 1971.
CONDITION
Regular visitors to this site will know we like our Seiko watches, and the same people will also recognise they often sell quickly as our customers frequently share that thought. This watch has the stainless steel case, with countersunk crown at three, which was originally water resistant. This all helps keep the internals and the dial and hands in good condition, and fifty years on the design has clearly done the job. The dial is very nice, bouncing the light around beautifully. The case has a few marks on both sides, but they are purely cosmetic. The movement is Seiko’s calibre 7006A, an automatic wind only movement with quick set date and a day wheel in English only. The watch was probably on a bracelet when new – there are witness marks on the rear of the lugs – but this has been lost over the years. The leather strap fitted is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
