HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the original guarantee paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold in April 1971.
CONDITION
The alarm function on a wristwatch is one of the most practical complications, yet is rarely found. This Majex alarm watch combines the complication with great style. The blue dial is superb, and is only enhanced by the orange seconds hand, the orange tip on the alarm hand and even the date font is orange. The date is also semi quick set. There are a few storage marks on the case, but these are minor except for on the non crown side which has been rubbing against the box by the look of it. The stainless steel caseback has cut outs in it to amplify the alarm sound, just like the JLC Memovox, Vulcain Cricket and Tissot alarm watches used. This lifts the watch slightly from the wrist, allowing the sound to escape. The movement is still protected by the dust cover, and you can see it is still spotless. And on the video you can hear the alarm functioning perfectly. The strap is new and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred
