HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From both the Birmingham hallmark in the case back, and the inscription on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made and presented in 1971.
CONDITION
The watch looks barely worn. The dial is particularly attractive, being remarkably clean. The FHF movement is running strongly and keeping good time. It is difficult to find any reasonable fault with this watch, and it looks like it spent most of its life in the case it is still in now. The strap may be the original! Although the watch is on the smaller side, the wide lugs and 18mm strap make this watch feel bigger on wrist than the overall dimensions suggest.
