A 1971 Citizen in very clean condition with automatic winding movement, complete with quick set date, and fitted with a new leather strap.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in April 1971.
CONDITION
Please ignore the scratch on the crystal shown in the photos. We will polish this out or replace the crystal.
The solid stainless steel case is very good, showing no major dinks or scratches. The dial colour changes from dark grey to black depending on the light, with both the dial and the hands being tarnish free. The calendar wheel is in red, which adds a nice splash of colour, and can be quick set via the original crown. Unlike most Seiko watches from the same period this 6001 movement can be wound either by the crown or the automatic mechanism, whereas the Seiko’s can only by automatically wound. We have fitted a new black leather strap.
