This 1971 Citizen automatic features the in house 6500 movement. so you have day date calendar and quickset for the date too.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in February 1971.
CONDITION
We have tried to shoot this watch in varying lights to try and capture how much the dial varies in both colour and even matt to gloss finish. It really is cleverly done. It does help that on this example the dial is clean, with just slight marks near the crown. The crown is original, and signed, and this movement can be wound manually or automatically. Both day and date are sitting squarely in the window. The stainless steel case is in good order, but is naturally showing some minor wear, and we have polished any small scratches from the acrylic crystal. The bracelet may not be original, but if not at least the clasp is signed Citizen. It is also fitted with an extension, to make it fit most wrists.
