One of the rarer Accutron electronic watches from Bulova, this funky coffin case model has a very 1970’s brown dial.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the date code on the case back and on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1971.
CONDITION
We doubt this watch was originally marketed as a coffin case, but the given the shape how better to describe it? The stainless steel case does appear to have been brushed, and one small dink near the crown does remain. The brown dial, darker on the edge than the centre with Arabic printed numerals makes the tritium filled hands quite easy to read. The movement is a 15 jewel Bulova 2182F, with quick set date and semi quick set day calendar. This is all working nicely. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
