A bargain price for a solid gold 1970 Rotary watch that has an automatic movement with calendar.  Model reference 3451

From the London hallmark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1970.

The dial is going to divide people.  There are marks, but the most significant is the loss of lacquer between 9 and 7.  Some people will love this patina, scars of age to be worn with pride, and others will not.  The watch is priced to recognise the dial has issues.  The movement is a 21 jewel AS1903, which has semi quickset date and is all working nicely.  The crown has a Mercedes style logo we do not recognise from the watch world, and is not quite square but works perfectly well.  The case is stamped SD, for Sylvain Dreyfuss, one of the major figures in Rotary’s long history, so we know it was always intended for a Rotary watch.  The case is in good order and has drilled lugs for easier strap changes, and we have fitted a new leather strap.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
