This men’s Reglia chronograph has the Landeron 248 manual wind movement inside, with a copper coloured dial.

From the supplied paperwork from the Parisian jeweller Comptoir Joffrin (that are still running from the same premises!) we can accurately date this watch to being sold in June 1970.

Reglia is not a brand we have heard before, but that doesn’t detract from the rest of the watch.  The 17 jewel movement is a tried and trusted Landeron 248 – that movement was made between 1937 and 1970, so this is one of the last.  You have constant seconds at the subdial at 9, and the 30 minute chronograph dial at 3 has a delta plane style hand (very Concorde, which was in development during 1970).  The chronograph seconds runs on the centre post and the chrono resets perfectly.  The gold plated case is good, with a couple of flecks of paint on the lug.  The bezel ring is cracked near 2 but secure.  The copper dial is pretty clean and has red and blue tachymetre scales are not immediately clear but they are also in good order.  The leather strap is new.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
