This Omega De Ville is a little different to the norm, thanks to the spider crazed dial.  Model reference 111.0114.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.

CONDITION

While this watch is all about the dial, we should touch on the other aspects too.  It has a manual wind calibre 620 Omega movement, with seventeen jewels, which is working well.  That movement is set into a stainless steel case with screw down case back, stamped correctly on the inside with the model number.  The case has short lugs, and the crown is set with a cabochon polished stone which is not chipped or cracked.  But the star of the show is the dial.  Painted to look like tigers eye, the lacquer has cracked in a manor usually described as a spider dial as it looks a little like a web.  This is not how it left Omega, it has happened over the years, and will be totally unique to this watch.  In some angles it can not be seen, and in others it is obvious, but the white hands still provide good contrast and are legible.  Spider dials can be very collectible, even though they are not perfect – or perhaps because they are not perfect?  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
