The Waterking was a range of waterproof dress watches from Certina in the 1970’s.  Model reference 5201 210-5

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.

CONDITION

We are not sure what the 210 signifies after Waterking on the dial?  But the printed dial is very legible and only has small marks The movement is a manual wind Certina in house calibre 25-66.  This 17 jewel movement is beautifully finished and has been protected by the all stainless steel case, with screw down case back.  The bottom left lug has taken a knock but being such a strong material this has not affected the structural integrity of the watch case at all.  The crown is original and signed with the Certina C logo.  The bracelet is not marked Certina and may be a later addition – a regular 18 mm leather strap could be fitted if you preferred.

We have found the same model, albeit with a different dial, in this catalogue here from 1969 (page 22).

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
