A simple, two handed manual wind Bulova men’s dress watch in a gold plated square case.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.  The movement was made in 1969, but could not have been paired with case until 1970.

CONDITION

The ‘rules’ for a dress watch are to keep things simple.  No complications such as date windows, not even a seconds hand.  Certainly not a divers bezel and a thin case.  This Bulova pretty much ticks every box.  Sometimes Bulova’s manual wind movements play second fiddle to the Accutron electronic movements they are famous for, but this is unfair as their in house movements are good.  Inside this watch is a calibre 11BLL with 17 jewels, all working and running perfectly.  The acrylic crystal has a small internal crack on the top right corner that you can not fee, but light does refract through it and you can see it.  The nearly square case is 40 micron gold plated – twice the thickness of most good brands – which has a clip on stainless steel back.  The leather strap is new.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
