Quite a long name – Tissot Visodate Seastar PR516 – but a nice example with the desirable original steering wheel bracelet. Model reference 43516

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.

The bracelet is the most unique part of this watch, and was designed to look like a sports car’s steering wheel. Each side is curved to fit around the wrist, which doesn’t help photography but is surprisingly comfortable. The clasp is signed, and has loads of adjustment that can be easily adjusted without any tools. The PR516 is the first watch we have seen with advertising with this bracelet, and the inside of the bracelet is also stamped BREVET DEMANDE (Patent applied for). The rest of the watch is more conservative, but still nice. You have a stainless steel case with screw down case back, signed crown that also operates the semi quick set date, and the calibre 784-2 automatic movement with twenty one jewels. The dial does have some text missing to the end of Tissot and the end of Visodate, which cosmetically is the worst part of the package. The case and bracelet are unpolished so will show signs of wear befitting the watches age, but no serious damage.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
