This manual wind Tissot Stylist dress watch still has the Tissot strap fitted to it. Model reference 42100
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.
CONDITION
This Stylist uses a Tissot manual winding calibre 781-1, just as they used in the SeaStar models. The case is 20 micron gold plated, and while it shows wear on the lugs and especially the crown is all quite presentable. The dial is very clean, with only the occasional mark visible if you look closely. The Arabic numerals and simple black hands make the watch very legible and easy to read at a glance. The leather strap is marked Tissot, and is possibly (or likely) the original. The buckle has lost some plating and it not branded Tissot, but not all buckle were branded in the 1960’s. If you prefer we could fit a new strap, and could include the original as part of the package. The watch is running well and is quite nice to wind. This Stylist is a good value Swiss vintage watch, as a similar Longines or an Omega would be multiples of this price.
