HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.
CONDITION
The futuristic, lugless design of the Omega Geneve Dynamic appealed to many people during what also happened to be the height of the space race, and it is easy to see why. Visually different, yet very comfortable to wear and easy to read, with loads of choice for dials, strap, cases and movements, the watch was Omega’s most popular selling watch of the late 1960’s. This one has the top of the line movement, calibre 752. This automatic movement has 24 jewels, swan neck fine adjustment, day of the week and quick set date (operated by pulling the crown outwards). Not that you will see the movement – it is held in the one piece case via the crystal. That monobloc case also has very clear graining, known as radial adoucissage to Dynamic collectors, which is a good indication of the watch never being machine polished. There is just one very small dink on the bezel near nine. The dial is excellent, and the orange seconds hand adds a pop of colour. The leather strap is nearly new, and straps for the Dynamic and Tissot Seven are still in production and easy to change. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, crystal and buckle.
