This Tissot Seastar Seven packs a lot into the small case size, including features rarely found in ladies watches.  Model reference 35550.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.

CONDITION

The movement is a manual wind Tissot 741, with 17 jewels and shock protection.  That is wound via the signed crown, and this Seastar Seven has unibloc case so the signed crown is important – the crown and stem are designed to be separated if you need to get to the movement to improve water resistance, so the wrong part fitted could be a problem in future.  Once the crown is separated and the acrylic crystal removed the watch dial and movement comes out via the front of the case.  The rear of the case does have a few tool marks where someone has tried to access it incorrectly before.   The dial is clean and easy to read, and having a running seconds hand is more unusual on ladies watches, but nice to have.   The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred.  The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement and crown.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
