HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.
CONDITION
Most people associate Eterna with Eterna-Matic, but that name was reserved for the automatic watches only. This ia a manual wind watch, so a little slimmer of case, and it presents very well. The dial is the main attraction, and despite the couple of small marks is still very attractive, changing in different lights like only blue dials tend to. Inside is an in house Eterna 1476K, a well put together three hander without calendar function. This is housed in a all stainless steel case with screw down case back, which is looking very good. The original crown is still fitted, as is the original crystal – the five ball bearing logo for Eterna is engraved on the centre of the underside of the crystal showing us that it is an original part. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
