A 1968 Timex in an unusual and attractive gold plated case.  Manual wind movement and time only function – no second hand.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the bottom of the dial we can accurately date this watch to 1968.

CONDITION

Timex models of this era are not the highest quality.  The movements are basic pin pallet types, and are made to be cheap to produce.  The fact that so many survive and thrive is testament to the designs.  This particular watch has some wear to the none crown side of the case, but the dial is nice and clean, the movement is running well and the size and design make it a nice addition to most collections for little money.  We have fitted a new leather strap and polished the acrylic crystal, so it is ready to wear and be enjoyed.

Please see the HD video below for more detail.
