Quite a scarce Roamer Red Sea, in great condition, with the MST 491 automatic movement ticking away nicely inside.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in September 1968. This fits the production dates of the ETA based movement.
CONDITION
The watch is in great condition. Many gold plated square or rectangular watches get worn on the edges and corners, but this is almost shop fresh. The dial too is perfect. The slight defect on the acrylic crystal on the top right corner is the only negative. The crown is not signed, but we can not tell is they ever were on this model as few seem to be available for comparison. This is likely to be the best one available. Please remember that square watches wear a lot larger than the dimensions suggest – please see the wrist photo for an accurate representation.
