With the sought after calibre 565 movement, this 1968 gold Omega Geneve should appeal to many different people.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1968. The London hallmark also indicates that the case was assayed in the same year.
CONDITION
If you like your movements, then the Omega 565 is one for you. It has 24 jewels and quickset date, where you pull the crown outwards to advance the date by one (as shown in the video). It also has swan neck fine adjustment, and with very few differences the calibre 564 was used in the more expensive Constellation chronometers. The Geneve model here sat lower in pricing than the Constellation, but when you add a 9k gold case you have to ask would you prefer the solid gold Geneve or a gold capped Constellation for the same or more money? There are one or two cosmetic issues to tell you about. The crown has lost its gold capping, and the dial has a small scratch near eleven. Otherwise the three piece case has just the normal light marks form being worn. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
