HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1968.
CONDITION
Piaget only have, and in all likelihood always will, make the finest items that can be produced, as if cost is not a part of the design process. For example, the cheapest new Piaget watch for ladies is a steel, quartz model that costs £4,600. So to find a 18k yellow gold model, with the ultra slim in house manual wind 9P movement has to represent value for money. Add in the malachite stone dial, Piaget strap, 18k yellow gold Piaget buckle and the box and you will not find too many others to compare. And one of the beautiful things about using malachite for the dial is that every single watch is unique. This dial does have two cracks in it, which is not uncommon, but they are difficult to see in real life. The bezel has a clous de paris pattern to it, which is very nice. The glass has a very small chip near 10. The Piaget leather strap is used, and in 8/10 condition.
