These ladies Omega Genève vintage watches are outstanding value for money.  Model reference 511.213.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1968.

CONDITION

Omega are not based in Geneva, but the Genève range was named after the observatory timekeeping competitions held in Geneva to see who could make the most accurate watches.  Those competitions stopped (arguably after Grand Seiko models started winning!), but the branding worked well for the Swiss company.  The case on this Genève is 20 micron gold plated, and all in good condition.  The dial is clean, and the 17 jewel, adjusted in two positions, Omega calibre 620 movement is setting and winding well via the original signed crown.  When you see inside these it is remarkable that you can buy this mechanical Omega watch for so little money (for comparison, the cheapest new ladies Omega is a quartz watch that will cost £2,130).  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
