HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement, and the hallmark inside the case back, we can accurately date this watch to being both made and assayed in 1968.
CONDITION
Gold has always been a valuable asset, and as such its use is limited to as little as necessary. However while some 9k bracelet watches can feel very light this has some real weight to it. Doing a quick and very unscientific test this is 50% heavier than another ladies Omega 9k bracelet watch we had to hand. You can feel the difference but it will not weigh your arm down, more that is just feels well put together. The case is made by Omega (stamped OWC) and has fine lines on the side of the case. The crystal does have a few scratches and small chips to the edges, and a slight green stain where the glue holding the crystal in has discoloured over time. This can be seen on the enlarged photos but is much less noticeable in real life and size. The dial is clean, and has a cross hatched pattern that does bounce light around nicely. Inside the gold case is an Omega 484 calibre movement, which is all working well and wound via the original signed crown. The bracelet is integrated into the case so please measure your wrist to make sure this will fit, as extending this would be difficult. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box (which does have broken hinges), and our Certificate of Authenticity.
