This 1968 Gradus men’s watch has a hallmarked 9k gold case, fixed lugs and a Swiss mechanical manual wind movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the Birmingham hallmark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1968 or shortly after.
CONDITION
The watch is in very good order all round. The solid gold case has just minimal case opening marks on the non crown side, and a couple of small dent on the rear that can not be seen when the watch is being worn. The dial is very good, which is an indicator that the original owner was not a smoker (non waterproof cases often have dirty dials, where smoke penetrates and the tar sticks to the dial). The case has fixed lugs, which is why we have not fully fixed the new leather strap down as yet – if you prefer a black strap then please let us know.
