This 1968 Garrard stainless steel gent’s hand winding watch is still with the presentation box from Her Majesty’s Jewellers
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the very helpful long service inscription on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being presented in 1968.
The 17 jewel ETA 2391 movement is running sweetly, and still has its dust cover in place. These are normally missing. The dial is very clean, and the acrylic crystal has been polished to removed the light scratches that occur over time. The case has been cleaned but not polished, and has drilled lugs to make strap changes easier. The watch arrived with us on what we believe to be the original expanding bracelet, but we have switched this for a new leather strap.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
