There is very little to dislike with this 1967 Omega – both in style and condition. Model reference 131.0019.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1967. We know the reference was launched in 1962 from Omega’s own website, but by 1967 Omega had dropped the Geneve branding from the dial.
CONDITION
Blue dials are always popular, but often they have some damage around the hour markers or to the edge – not in this case. even the very small 1/5th seconds track looks to be in tact. The watch is signed on the case, dial, buckle and crown – so often crowns and buckles are swapped over the years but not here. The stainless steel bezel does look to have had someone try to change a strap and they have left witness marks on the top right and bottom left of the bezel, but that might be the only bad thing to mention. The calibre 601 Omega movement is a very nice manual wind movement with fine adjustment and a great copper finish. The grey leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. We know the grey will not to be to everyone’s taste, so if you prefer a black strap we will not be offended!
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
