The Concept 80 was described by Eterna as the World’s most advanced watch in their original advertising.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1967 according to all information currently online.

CONDITION

Automatic ladies watches are often noticeable by their absence.  Not so many manufacturers bothered to make a small enough automatic movement for a ladies watch, with the exemption of Omega and their Ladymatic models.  This Concept 80 would have been a direct competitor to the Omega back in the 1960’s.  The movement is the in-house Eterna 1469 calibre, which not only has a seconds hand which the majority of ladies watches do not, but it also has a calendar too.  The date can be semi quick set too, by turning the hands to midnight – 21:00 – midnight.  All this packaged into a small case that is noticeably thin for an automatic.  The dial is original and good, the crystal is signed with the five ball bearing Eterna logo in the centre, and that logo is repeated on the crown.   The rear case seal has been replaced since photography.  The bracelet is stainless steel and marked FF, a brand we have been unable to identify.  You could swap this for a leather strap if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
