The Citizen Crystal Seven was their answer to the Seiko 5, but just with an extra two! Model reference ACSS-2928-Y.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in November 1967.
CONDITION
This watch was not intended for export, and instead was a JDM model (Japanese Domestic Market). We can easily tell this as the day wheel is in Kanji, with no option of English or any other language. This is not a problem as it is both cool to see this on the dial and, if you have a few watches in your collection, you don’t need to set the day – unlike the date, this does not quickset. The automatic movement is Citizen’s calibre 5204, which also has manual winding (unlike the Seiko 5 competitor). The grey dial is very nice, providing good contrast for the hands. The case is unpolished, but unfortunately the crystal does have a scratch and we have been unable to find a correct curved, faceted crystal to replace it. Given the glass crystal is a big part of a Crystal Seven, we thought it better to leave it original. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
