This is the rarer automatic model of the Desk Diver, with the Swiss movement, that has recently been relaunched as the Sea Hunter. Model reference 665.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1967.
CONDITION
The new Caravelle by Bulova Sea Hunter was based on this watch we have here, as pointed out in this article on Worn and Wound. Most of the Devil diver watches used a Citizen based manual wind movement,m but these automatics are available with a Swiss ETA 2472 movement, just in smaller numbers. The automatics also get a date, which can be semi quick set. The dial has some fading and patina, but is original. The important paddle hour hand is still in tact though. The bezel turns in both directions, and is missing the lume pip for 12. The unsigned but period coffin linked bracelet is quite short, but this could be swapped for a leather or rubber strap if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, crystal, clasp, buckle and strap.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
