This Uno not only has an interesting dial, but also has a high quality Peseux manual wind movement.

From the Edinburgh hall mark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1966.

We are aware that some of our customers are not technically minded when it comes to movements and terminology. But the Peseux 7001 is a little bit special, so allow us to indulge. It is one of the thinner off the shelf calibers (known as ébauches), but it is also such good quality that it was used by Omega (called calibre 651), Tissot, Baume & Mercier and others. Even though Peseux was absorbed into the group now known as ETA, the movement is still in production and is now called the ETA 7001. The base of the movement can be found in Eberhard and even Blancpain watches, so to find one in a relatively minor brand like Uno is a coup. It is all running well of course. The case on this watch is 9k gold, and the only marks are on the case back (although it has never been engraved.) The dial detail is hard to see on the photographs, but as well as the main check pattern a tiny brushed checked pattern is also available that hopefully the video shows well. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred – we know green will not be the first choice for many people, but we liked it.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
