A nice 1960’s Swiss automatic vintage Tissot Visodate PR516 shows that there are still some affordable good watches out there.  Model reference 44516

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1966.  The PR516 range was launched in 1965, and on Tissot’s own website there is a good period TV advert.

The dial is good, and very clean.  Only the earlier watches were labelled Visodate PR516 – the later ones just went with PR516.  The hands are straight, but the minute hand has lost a small section of Trituim.  The 20 micron gold plated case doesn’t have significant wear and tear at all, and shows no dings.  The lugs are driled for easy strap changes, and we have fitted a new leather strap in the style of the original straps.  The movement is the in house calibre 784-1 which has 21 jewels, automatic and hand winding and a date that can be semi quick set via the midnight-9pm-midnight method.  Everything is working as it should.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
