The dark grey, near black dial on this Seiko Sea Horse is a lovely thing to see.  Model reference 7625-8031

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in July 1966.

CONDITION

1960’s Seiko watches are always popular, no more so than when they come with an automatic movement, stainless steel case and were originally water proof.  This watch ticks all three of those boxes, and adds an anthracite dial that plays with the light nicely.  The Sea Horse case is good, and a few years later Seiko stopped marking their watches water proof and switched to water resistant.  Inside that case is the Seiko calibre 7625D, a 17 jewel automatic with calendar that has semi quick set calendar too.  The movement is all running nicely, but these were never designed to be hand wound – they are automatic wind only, so suit more active people. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
