A solid 9k gold case and bracelet, this petite ladies Avia is still in what we believe would have been the original jewellers case.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The hallmark on the bracelet is for 1965, and the hallmark for the watch case is for 1966.  This is the right period for the movement production date too.  We can say this watch was assayed in 1966.

CONDITION

With any watch on a gold bracelet the critical factor is the length of the bracelet, as extending the bracelet would be costly.  However we are fine here for most wrists, as the gold herringbone pattern bracelet is approximately 170 mm long.  It also has a safety chain on there too, just to protect the investment.  The movement, a manual wind seventeen jewel FEF 6620, is running well.  The case is straight and without damage, and the starburst pattern on the bezel is good for catching the light.  It came in a Young & Co faux tortoise shell jewellers box, and that could be the original supplier.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
