This ladies Omega watch is in a 14k gold case, and is complete with the box and papers.  It was a presentation gift from Chevrolet for long service.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the Omega movement we know this was made in 1966.  However, the paperwork and the inscription are both dated 1969 as the date of sale.  either year would be valid as a birth year watch.

CONDITION

One of the reasons we like presentation watches is that they are normally save for best once the lucky recipient has retired.  This watch clearly hasn’t been worn much, evidenced by the lack of dirt in the expanding bracelet and the general condition of the watch.  The gold plated bracelet has white metal shoulders near the watch, and each are set with a clear stone that test as diamond (microscopic photo shown at x43 magnification).  Lovely to have the box and papers in very good condition, and even the Omega padding which must be quite rare.  The crystal has one small chip at the bottom, and the movement is running beautifully.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
